Step 1: Start your system and hit on Parallels Desktop icon.


Step 2: Click the dropdown menu of “Select the OS type” and choose Windows from the dropdown list.


Step 3: By clicking on “Select the OS Version” and choose Windows version (here as Windows XP). And click “Next” button.


Step 4: Now in this dialog box you need to enter your Windows product key, enter your name and your organization name. And then click on Next button.


Step 5: Enter a Name for Parallels to use for this VM. You may also enable File Sharing and User Profile Sharing, if require. And then after click on Next button.


Step 6: Now select an Optimization Method as Virtual Machine or Mac OS X applications. Make your own selection and then click on Next button.


Now your Virtual Machine has been created and ready to run for you. Now you just need to “Insert the Windows Install CD” in Mac drive for final installation of Windows XP on your Mac OS or Mac OS X. It will take a few minutes as normal Windows installation takes. After the end of Windows installation you will be ready to access Windows and their applications on your Mac computer without switch off the Mac.
